You're a Genius All the Time

I decided to begin this Dinkytown-equivalent blog with an interesting little piece by Jack Kerouac. He was a part of what was called the "Beat Generation", though he generally denied labels. Despite it's label, an odd creativity started & this list of "essentials" to being a writer was written. The purpose of the list is seemingly a tool to help one get rid of any drawbacks or hesitations. Ironically, following a list of how to free your mind is in itself limiting you, but it is nonetheless and interesting list.

Purpose vs. Boredom vs. Purposeful Boredom

I was up real late early one morning & came to the conclusion that everyone has a blog...except me. I figured that, to be a conformist, one must conform. And for one to be a nonconformist, one must not conform. And for one to resist the rising tide of nonconforming nonconformists, one must not conform to nonconformity. Alas, I have found that I would be the nonconforming nonconformist of the century (or at least of the Internet (or if that doesn't work, then I've got my mind (wait, no, that's gone, too (I suppose I've set myself up for failure)))), whatever that is. So sit back, relax, & let the magnetic field and electrowaves sink into your skull.
